The 2019 (5th) US-China Innovation Technology Investment Summit

On 23 October 2019 the 5th US-China Innovation Technology Investment Summit and the 2019 Suzhou Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition were held in Suzhou’s Wuzhong economic and technological development zone. After comprehensive evaluation, seven projects qualified for the upcoming 2019 Suzhou Maker Competition. 

The competition invited investment institutions to judge the projects, after which the winner would proceed to the next stage. More than 50 representatives from Suzhou venture capital and financial institutions, enterprises, and entrepreneurship incubators attended the competition. American projects included Fluent Forever, Holberg Financial, OVIE; while Chinese projects included Sazhi intelligence and Sulala. 

At the summit, EcoKMC, the alumni association of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and the Milonggu innovation space signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The three parties agreed to cooperate in areas such as training, scientific research, think tanks, and financial market services. This would combine the resources of the Yangtze River Delta region with current China-US cooperation to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Wuzhong economic and technological development zone in Suzhou.

In recent years, the Wuzhong economic and technological development zone has actively recruited and incubated a number of well-known enterprises. Industrial parks have been built on a large scale in the city to improve the local manufacturing industry. Suzhou’s Wuzhong economic and technological development zone is now the home of such companies as Coworth Electric, Inovance Technology, and Suzhou Secote Precision Electronic.
